After lots of research and lots and lots of work getting all the lath down this old house is ready for INSULATION.

When insulating an old house you have to take into account that it was built without insulation and there is no building paper behind the siding. The lack of insulation allowed the wall spaces to "breath" and dry when water got it.... but fiberglass would just MOLD.

Time for this old Victorian to have a modern addition to the inside of its walls.....Closed Cell Polypropylene SPRAY FOAM insulation. We are going with Dura-Foam wall insulation for this project.

This stuff seals so well some of it oozed out to seal a wider crack in the exerior siding. (easy to trim off after)...think what a mess it would be if water came in with fiberglass?? this is the only way to go with these old walls.
